It is our experience that children introduced as early as three years old to regular dental checkups are more likely to maintain good dental health practices into their teenage and adult years. Sealants are often recommended to help prevent decay from starting in teeth with very deep grooves. A dental sealant is made of a thin layer of tooth colored material, typically painted on the chewing surfaces of the back teeth to help prevent tooth decay. This coating fills in hard to clean grooves of the teeth, blocking out plaque and food, which can damage the tooth enamel and create cavities.
A dental implant is used to replace a missing tooth, teeth, or to support a removable denture. The implant fuses to the bone making implants the most durable tooth replacement option.
This is the number one reason people lose teeth. The disease process is an inflammation around teeth that can lead to bone loss. That is one reason why regular dental checkups and periodontal examinations are very important. Treatment methods depend on the type of disease and how far the condition has progressed.
Any tooth that is affected by disease, decay, or trauma may need to be removed if the tooth cannot be saved. No one likes the idea of loosing a tooth, however there are options we can provide to fill the empty space or replace the tooth.
If you've lost some or all of your natural teeth, whether from periodontal disease, tooth decay or injury, complete or partial dentures can be made to replace your missing teeth and smile.
Root Canal Therapy is needed when a tooth's nerve and associated blood vessels are irreversibly damaged either by trauma to the tooth or a very deep cavity. This results in an infection that may lead to an abscess at the base of the tooth. This procedure removes and disinfects the canal inside of the tooth. Following this procedure a crown is usually necessary to protect the tooth.
Night Guards protect the teeth from clenching and grinding while sleeping. Wearing a night guard also aids in the relief of jaw and joint pain for those patients experiencing headaches and facial muscle tension after sleep. Sports Guards: Anyone enjoying contact sports such as football, rugby or lacrosse needs to protect their teeth using a sports guard. Custom designed sports guards are more comfortable, less bulky, non-chafing and provide better cushioning so they're more likely to be worn.

White fillings replace silver or gold fillings with a more natural looking mercury-free tooth-colored material. Since teeth are translucent, dark fillings cause the whole tooth to appear darker when viewed from the side.
The cosmetic dental treatment known as "whitening", or bleaching, is used to whiten the tooth enamel. Pigmentation, tea, age, coffee, tobacco, red wine or medications such as tetracycline are just some of the causes of discolored or stained teeth. We utilize various techniques to achieve the best results, whether it’s a custom tray system or a 15 minute chair side application.
A dental crown is a tooth shaped cap that fits over a tooth to improve strength, size and appearance. Dental bridges are made of three or more crowns fused together to replace missing teeth. Unlike traditional dentures, bridges are permanent and cannot be removed. Both of these restorations are made with very strong materials that are tooth colored, through and through, eliminating gray/black lines at the gum line.
These are thin porcelain laminates designed to cover the front side of a tooth. Veneers are used to treat spaces between teeth, teeth that are chipped or worn, permanently stained, poorly shaped or slightly crooked.
Composite resin material is used to restore minor flaws in the anterior teeth including spacing, cracks, or chipped teeth.
